KHARTOUM, (Sudanow.info) – Thirty two people, including six crew members, have been confirmed dead in the helicopter crash over Taloudi area, south west of Khartoum, Sunday, the presidency of the republic said in a press statement.

It said those killed included the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Endowment, Ghazi al sadiq.

The presidency said the president of the Republic Field Marshal Omar Al Bashir would receive condolences evening Sunday at the republican palace.

Those killed also included leading politician from South Kordufan region, and Islamist, Makki Ali Balayel of the Sudanese Peace and Justice Party.

Presidency of the Republic mourns the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Endowment, Engineer Ghazi Al Sadeq, who martyred along with a number of his colleagues in a plane crash due to difficult climatic conditions near the town of Taloudi.

The martyrs were on their way to celebrate the Eid Fitr occasion and to participate with the citizens of Taloudi this holy occasion; however, the hand of fate struck before they did, the Sudan news agency SUNA reported.
